HTC Wizard 8125

Just Bought a HTC Wizard 8125.. so far I love it...

---------------------

I Change Both Boot Screens (used SplashScreenStuff and Total Commander)

Found out you can't change the Backlight Keyboard Timeout - HTC said it is a hardware issue and cannot be reset.

I changed the date format:
HKLM\nls\overrides\SSDte = "dddd, MMMM d, yyyy " (REG_SZ string, no quotes)

En/Disable receiving of files over BlueTooth/IrDA
Disable
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Enable:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 1 (DWORD decimal)

Enable Bluetooth on the receiving device and on your HTC Wizard
Use File Explorer to browse to the directory that contains the file you want to transfer Tap and hold the file, and select Beam File...
A new screen will pop up with the Infrared option, and the word searching under it. Upon discovery of the receiving device, its name will appear as the second option. Select it and the transfer will start. You may have to confirm that you want to receive the file on the receiving device.

Disable the SMS Sent notification
Disable
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMs g = 1 (DWORD decimal)
Enable:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMs g = 0 (DWORD decimal)

Please note that the 'Settings' key may not exist in your device, and thus may have to be created first.

To avoid a pop up SMS message
At the settings panel, select sounds and warnings an then select the SMS message in the dropdownlist.
uncheck the 'show message' textbox
A
lso i found out about the Run Dilog Box, hold down the center button (on the 4-way pad) and tap and hold the clock then click run.

Great tips. Thanks!

I just got my 8125 last Friday, and I've been looking for some fun stuff to do with it.

I have a Holux GPS receiver and my new copy of CoPilot Live should be here Thursday (yay!)
