shimazuc---- I have had this phone for a month now and been dealing with it ever since. I was at the Cingular store Friday and some high-end Cingular Rep said she was putting a ticket in on the problem(whatever that means). We arent the only one, but way isnt it everyone. I have this problem with Bellsouth account and AOL account. Pretty much I have a 700$ receipt from Cingular and no benefit from it, oh yea, I'm pissed. Lets keep in touch until we get this resolved.
ok the second link in the other thread worked thanks....
edit..nvm it worked once and hasnt worked since...ok so it seems that it will only work right after i create an account and after wards keeps giving me the "unable to download messages...check your email account settings blah blah"
call cingular and they will give you a ticket number. Just got off the phone with them. Their is a nationwide problem with the 8125 server. I had a regional rep submit a ticket after she spent hours with my 8125 and couldnt get it to send email. So they know now that there is a problem.
ok I can receive emails but I can't send them...I still get the same message tho...
edit: nvm again now it works just fine all the time...what i had to do was instead of using the outgoing server givin by cingular(cwmx.com as stated on the cingular support page) i used the one for my isp (stmp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com) and now it works without that message poppin up
