Cingular 8125. I cant seem to transfer a file of anykind from my Cingular 8125 using bluetooth. I can only see Beam file and Email option. Pls help. Thanks.
I've never tried to do a file transfer yet via blue tooth. but maybe u have to be connected with the other device already. the one time I did was a transferred a ring tone from my cousins slvr to my 8125..the way I did it was on his phone I went to the file and hit copy..then I made my 8125 discoverable and his phone saw it and sent file..I dunno if that willhelp?
jonperezinsd is right. but the right term is PAIRED.
You must paired first your pocket pc to other devices before you can transfer files. You can do this in your bluetooth settings by making a new connections...

Yes, I was already paired to other device and able to received files but unable to send any files via bluetooth. I dont see the option to send via bluetooth. I use my bluetooth with my earpiece and activesync alot but it would have been nice if I can send files via bluetooth as well.
Also, from my last phone (nokia) I was able to listen to all my MP3s using my bluetooth earpiece (motorola h700 or jabra) but now it only plays on the phone even when they're paired already. I can use the earpiece during phne calls but not playing music. Any idea? thanks

Your pocket pc must support A2DP, this is the bluetooth profile for listening to Audio via bluetooth stereo/headset.

what about the sending of the files? anyone can help us out?
It's a misconception that "beaming" is only for Infrared. If Bluetooth is on you can also "Beam" files to nearby Bluetooth neighbors, paired or not. Just make sure that they are discoverable! Give it a second and other devices should come up for you to select.

On a side note for you Trekkies, what did you think? Scotty only beamed them down via IrDA?
TengO1, about listening to mp3's over your bluetooth, I had the same problem.
Before I updated the ROM (now I'm going to get an A2DP stereo headset) I found a program that opens the Bluetooth headset connection to all audio... until a call comes in and interrupts. :-0
and it includes comments from users that have tried it. My own experience is that it interferes with Voice Commands, since the music is mixing with the microphone input. Also, when a call comes through, it is reset, and needs to be executed again... so there are no long term effects...
Hey... my old headset sounded pretty good...
