I am a new junior member. Actualy I trying to make a hard reset on my pocket pc but nothing happens when I I push button 2 and 4 plus the stylet. I have to do so since I installed the new firmware from HP . The installation wase made with success but the ''messagerie'' programm is frozen, others applications work properly.
Sorry about my english writing which is junior too!
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict BeauLord! To perform a hard reset you need to press buttons 1 and 4 in addition to the reset hole. This should do the trick. Please see me tutorial here. Let me know if you get the "Messagerie"" or "Messaging" application working after the hard reset. If more problems occur, I would try the firmware update again.
Thank you very much Tim. I try the botton 1 and 4 plus the stylus earlier last week but it did not work.
I decided to send my ipaq 2410 to HP Canada throuht my dealer and I asked them to make the hard reset. I dont even know if my warranty is still good (according to my dealer it is still active.
I am weating knews and I will let you know because it is really a myster for me.
My first time in this thread and I found the answer I have been looking for over the past 2 days. Thanks for the hint of using buttons 1 and 4 and reset to clean out my old iPAQ. I will mark this site as a favorite.
Hope you find your answer.
