I mate SP5 - problems

hiya all

I have an Imate SP5 and have the foll. 2 porblems

1. I cannot seem to download my SIM contacts to the phone memory - there is no SIM manager
2. I need to update the virus files - is there anyway i can do this by connecting thru my PC

help!!

Welcome to Pocket PC Addict! Let's see if we can help you out. I don't have an sp5 but I can tell you that my old sp3i's SIM Manager was under the Accessories folder. What's in yours? Also, I'm not sure what you ask asking when you say you want to update the virus files. Are you talking about updating virus definitions? If so you need to get an Antivirus program for your smartphone first. If you are looking for one you can download Trend Micro Mobile Security here. Let us know how it goes!

Hi Tim and thanks for the reply.

There is no SIM manager on the phone and yes I wanted to update my viri definitions, which I managed to get done. i would like to know if it is possible to connect my phone to the net thru my laptop.

That is really strange why i-mate decided not to but a SIM Manager on the device, but I believe you. Have you tried using Jeyo Mobile Companion? You can find out more in this thread here:
