Afternoon all, just got a new K-Jam and found the site today. starting to have a play around with it and love some of the software that seems to be available for it and other ppc's. expect a few more enquiries (and or stupid questions)as the customisation starts to happen. Seem to have a few faults with it but have sent email to imate so hopefully will be sorted out. take care and talk soon.
Welcome to the forums! I'm glad I have a fellow K-JAM user out there. Make sure you get the latest ROM update from club i-mate as it solves some issues from the factory release.

Thanks for the welcome. still no word from i-mate as of yet. i sent an enquiry because the unit has a habit of switching itself off fairly often. there seems to be the ROM upgrade that will apparantly correct the problem but i am trying to find out if i need to stick with the arabic version (not needed) that originally came with the unit or if i can install a conventional english or us version. being in Dubai you tend to miss out on some software such as skype etc as the phone provider has a monopoly on all communication. hopefully i should be able to download some for it if necessary.

That's a great question, hasslesnt. From my understanding, the reason why they have different versions of the ROM in the first place is because there is no patch, update or language pack that supports Arabic for the Worldwide English version. That's a bummer that Skype isn't included in the Arabic version. Hopefully i-mate will give you the green light on updating with the WWE version. Either way, let us know what i-mate says about this!
