ok heres my present to this community a playstation emulator for ppc. yes you heard me right this is an awsome emulator but this version is a beta so there will be some issues im sure. ok first some have got it to run on a wizard being a 200mHz device but was heavily overclocked so my suggestion is a 400mHz device with at least 20mb free program ram.
heres the specs
- VGA in Portrait-Mode
- WindowsMobile 5.0 Support
- GDI driver for WM5.0 (as test)
- 2700g buffering for speedboost
- .NRG images are now supported
- You can now choose freely if an Onscreen Button is PUSH or STICKY which highers the amount of available buttons by 6 to 12!
- Directionale keys added to the Onscreen Buttons, now even the users with PDAs that do not allow Hardware Key- Combos can play the unconfined way ^^
- Many bugs were solved and the code was cleaned (less space needed)
About that outta the original changelog:
* Changed virtual memory allocation method. * Fixed a bug into screenshot function. * Removed XA skip function, it caused bugs and slowdowns. * Several fixes for a clean/smaller code in the GUI. * Threaded execution and completely rewritten the WinCE code. * Sound volume level is saved at the end of an emulation session.
and these are some know issues
The Color Bug which is a problem of the GPU Plugin and changes red colors to blue and the other way around.
Spirit bugs which are a problem of the GPU Plugin, too.
The CD init. error which causes a game to crash right before start randomly and is not a big issue as most games load directly after that bug without a problem.
The Music Bug which is caused by the fact that audio tracks are continuous (not like sound effects). It means the loading of a music title causes the music to lag while sound effects do not. If you can, disable music and enjoy just the sound effects. It's also why I recommend to rip the music out anyway which will save you space you will need for all the other nice PSOne games
it compresses video and reformats music to mp3 i will post a download for it in the utilities download. obtw u will need a bios image for the emulator to work. it is illegal to download a bios image without owning a playstation so make sure you do before downloading u can pick one up for around $40 a cheap price to pay for the ability to have ps on a ppc. heres a link to download the bios.
you can try it but i would suggest battery status and overclocking to 247mhz. it runs but most games are not playable on the 8125 just not enough processing speed. I use it on my 8525 and plays most games alright.
Is there any way to either get a cab file for FPSEce or install it on windows mobile 6 standard? It seems to lock unless interfacing with cab files. I'm using an HTC cavalier/ X02HT (Softbank)
Hi, will need to run it on HTC TyTN. Just downloaded and extracted. Opened the FPSEce.exe, but it gives me the error msg: FPSEce.exe is not a valid Win32 application. Please help???
