Hello!
I've been waiting for the mobile version of the Real Player for some time now. However, I could not install it because it said I needed to install 'ActiveSynch 3.1 or later', when I had ActiveSynch 4.1 running and connected to my iPaq.
Empty out your temp folder so you can see the temporary directory that the real player installer creates. You don't actually need to have the setup work. Once the files are extracted open the temp folder and copy the .cab from the setup folder and put it on your PDA. you can manually install the cab from the device then.
You need to grab the .CAB file from the temp folder BEFORE you clear the error message about the wrong version of activesync on your computer. All the temp files are deleted after the error message is cleared.
Okay to fix the problem with it saying that you need to have ActiveSync 3.1 when you have the latest version, you will extract the file and copy the .CAB file to your pocket pc and run File Explorer and then find that file and click it to install it and it shall work!!!!
Hi kbgro!
Sounds great! Please let us know exactly how / where to "extract the file". The RealPlayer installation file is RealOnePlayerppc.exe; how do I get to the .CAB file you mention?
Thanx!
