Hey has anyone downloaded and installed the new windows 6.1 for the tilt? If so how is the phone working with the upgrade? Is it running quicker, better, etc.
well i downloaded the 6.1 update for the tilt and so far so good. the apperance is pretty cool, it has some cool options that are avaliable for the today screen which is nice. it seems to run about the same as before so far. though ther are som gliches, the screen dims after a couple of seconds, and the backlight for the keyboard doesnt come on. also some of my ringtones that worked before dont work anymore for my contacts but the show up for other things like notification or alarm tone. anyone else have issues ?
hey you get the 6.1 update download from the htc site. heres a link to it here. just follow the instructions, i dont think having it unlocked will matter but u never know so. I would ask around. Let me know if it works for yall.
I didnt notice too much from the update. Its still the same speed. But the only really good feature is the threaded SMS. By far that this is how the device should of came stock out of the box. Threaded SMS is absolutely needed if you are a hardcore texter. I used to have 3rd party applications to get this done because I came from a treo 750 which had threading built in by default.
So yeah I do love the new upgrade basically because it gives me threaded SMS.
can ya get the win mobile 6.1 anywhere other then at&t?
