I had a 2125 for years, & upgraded last week to a Tilt. I LOVE almost everything about it. However, I find it frustrating at how quickly it "powers down" (for lack of a better phrase). The only thing I have found that wakes the phone back up is to slide the top over a bit. Of course, then the phone changes to landscape, and then back to the portrait view. I have tried tapping with the stylus, but maybe I'm just not tapping in the right spot?
On the same note, when I go to unlock the phone, the screen is so dark I have to tap around to find the correct button.
Thanks for any suggestions. Even though I had a 2125, it was used when I got it, and I never did figure out how to add any programs to it due to memory challenges. I am so glad I found this site!
Lots of views, no answers. Well, when in doubt, pull out the manual. Seems you can hit the power button to "wake up" the phone - which is MUCH quicker than the way I was doing it. Thanks anyways!
I have not been able to find a better way to deal with the unlock dimmed screen. But you figured out the power button trick. Also you can use the wheel on the other side and it will wake the phone up in certain modes
have the same issue, very frustrating and have found that sometimes the button doesnt work argh! I have used the stylus to push the button in the hole up and to the right of the usb port when this happens but this is some kind of reboot right so not cool to do too often?

I cannot say anything for the power issue you discuss above because I don't have it. But as a new AT&T user. I welcome you to have a look at my website. It contains a selective collection of AT&T PDA Models. You can have a look at AT&T Tilt PDA Accessories here.
You can also download software called Kaiser Tweaks that will allow you to turn off the screen blanking feature. It also provides access to many other controls of the Tilt that would normally require registry edits.
Yeah honestly this really really pisses me off with the device. Especially when im checking my freaking voicemail and I have to push #7 to delete a message the freaking screen powered off!!!! LIke WTF! the most basic feature on a phone is voice mail and I have to hit the damn power button every single time to wake it back up to even delete a message EVERY SINGLE TIME WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
So to answer your question, you have to either push the power button on the right side of the phone to wake it back up, or spin the volume wheel on the left side. Either of them work. But its really a pain in the ass.
