How to remove a program?

Hey guys,

I recently got a Tilt, and so far I love the thing. So after a couple of weeks with it, I got hit with the mod bug. So far I have the HTC Home Plug In, which is great and some backgrounds, but recently I loaded this .cab file onto my Tilt. Here it is, 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download wm6_threaded.cab

Supposedly it changes the look of how the text messaging shows on the Tilt, and it does exactly that. Except, I hate it and want to change back to the default look. I deleted the .cab file, but the "look" is still there and I want to get rid of it. Oh and I restarted the phone as it told me to. And when I accessed my messages, at first there werent any. But now they are all flooding back. Meaning, it seems as if that I just received them but the dates are corresponding to when I actually received them. Regardless, it's really annoying and I want to get rid of the app. Thanks guys, any help is appreciated!!!

When you say you deleted the cab file do you mean you went to Start|Settings|Remove Programs and uninstalled the program? If not, try that. Generally speaking if the cab file is left after you install a program removing it does nothing. If you did uninstall the program as I noted above you may want to backup, hard reset, and then recover your backup.

Oh wow, duh! I'm adequate with computers, and I can't believe that I over-looked this!! haha, thanks a lot schmenge! Btw, while I have a thread up. I wanted to know if anyone can direct me in some essential upgrades on the Tilt. I have the HTC Home Plug-In which is pretty cool. And I also have the battery meter thing. Are there any other upgrades like this?

Oh and p.s., I tried to install the iPod upgrade but it didnt work! It just didn't work whatsoever..thanks in advance for the input guys!
