I connected my HTC TyTN to my laptop running windows Vista, and it started syncing my contact in the wrong direction i.e. from my laptop to my phone. Now I have some old contacts on my phone and all my contacts are gone. How can I undo sync and get my contacts back on my phone??
Did you have your contacts backed up some where? eg. pim backup, spb backup, sprite backup? If so just run the backup program and just select the contacts tab and nothing else.
If you didnt have them backed up hopefully you have a hotmail account and have sync'd at some point if so just resync with hotmail and it will load all of your contacts.
If you had let the sync finish you would not have lost any contacts unless you had that as a setting in Vista such as overwrite or something, just some fyi

Hey thanks for the advise buddy, but unfortunately, that was the case. I didnt have a current back up in the windows address book / outlook address book. The settings in mobile device center were to move data from the pc to the phone and overwrite phone data. Ny ways I had my frnds help me get my contacts back, Go social networking sites!
