Tilt and HTC Customizer Error - "Cannot detect Home plugin..."

Hello,

I installed the HTC Home 2.x as described, including the reset.

I then installed the HTC Customizer as described. I was able to change my weather from celsius to farenheit, but I cannot get any of the other modifications to be reflected.

I also receive the "Cannot detect Home plugin version, defaulting to v1.5 settings" error message when starting HTC Customizer now.

I am on an HTC Tilt with Windows Mobil 6.0 installed.

Is there a registry key that I should be looking for / adding / modifying?

Suggestions?

Update to "Cannot Detect Home plugin..."

My Tilt has ROM 1.6.502.1.

I installed HTC Home v.2.0.814.722 as presribed and then installed HTC Customizer v1.5b. I did a soft-reset, then fired up the HTC Customers only to ge the "Cannot detect Home plugin version, defaulting to v1.5 settings."

I searched around and many folks refer to a non-existent key (HTCHome) in the registry -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\MASD

(from PocketEmu Software: Forums / Bug Reports (v1.0 BETA) / Error message again: Cannot detect Home plugin version, defaulting to v1.5 settings)

So I tried the following and no longer get the error message:

Use CeRegEditor to open/edit the Tilt registry to add

Key: HTCHome
Value: 2_0_814_722

I tried a value of 2.0.814.722, 2.0, v2.0 and got a variet of errors when trying to launch HTC Customizer.

Now the HTC Customizer launches without error and allows me to choose new Appearance Items, but does not save the Appearance Items (Background / Clock / Icons)

I receive the following errors after pressing save:

"An error occurred copying your selected background. The program will now continue"

press <OK>

"An error occured copying your selected clock. The program will now continue"

press <OK>

"An error occured copying your selected icons. The program will now continue"

HTC Customizer exits...

Nothing is saved and the HTC home does not reflect the new Background, Clock, or Icons.

Any suggestions on how to actually get the phone to recognize and save the various appearance items, so I can use the Customizer to its full extent?
