Yeah, I did the same thing Brad did -- the very first time it didn't work but when I quit Google Maps and entered the program again, it worked perfectly.

GPS: Standard or Add on?

Is the GPS standard? Because when I set it to com 4, and then go menu>use GPS, it pops up that my "GPS receiver does not appear to be responding" when I go Start>Settings there is only a selection for External GPS, not internal

GPS is Standard.... that is there is nothing else to do other than configure the program to use it.. for example, I use tom-tom and in the config use 4800baud and com 4 and set it as a wired non-tomtom model and it finds it and uses it.... don't use the EXTERNAL GPS.....(since your is internal)..hope this helps...Brad

So does google maps do the third person street view like telenav/tom tom ? I just got my 8925 today google maps worked perfectly but after messing with it for a bit I subscribed to telenav and google really doesn't have anything on telenav. IMO, Voice nav and the view is perfect for hands free gps.

I though telenav cost $10 a month... where Google Maps is free...just a preference for the individual user.....

yeah telenav cost 10 a month but the features alone are worth it you can search for virtually anything from the cheapest gas to what kind of food or entertainment your in the mood for then route you to it with eta' miles' traffic updates im glad I signed up unless there are any other free ones that compare
