how to explain this how to explain this...
Emulators will do the trick but the issue is it takes a lot of time and effort to compress and reencode all the data that the end result is no longer worth the effort. also things need to be redesigned from scratch like controls. so unless someone REALLY wants to play Halo on their smart phone chances are not gonna happen
If you guys are interested in a dedicated portable video game system then there's the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP which are dedicated hand held consoles that are designed to play games.
Why would you want to be playing anything on your phone? chances are you're going to shorten the lives of your buttons and screen from all the repetitive button mashing and murder your battery life so when that important phone call arrives you have seconds of talk time.
Stick to something simple like a puzzle game or bejewled. Granted they're not everyone's tastes but there's no repetitive button mashing, you're not stressing that tiny CPU that's impossible to replace, and chances are when playing these games you're looking for a few minutes of distraction not hours of entertainment
