Cingular 8525 won't display incoming calls

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. My 8525 has been working fine and now it won't display who is calling. I can answer the phone by pressing call status where answer use to be. Have I changed a setting by mistake? As you can probably tell I haven't had the phone very long. Help.....

Yeah it looks like you have changed a setting. Problem is, did you install any new application that caused this?

Yeah, just turned the phone off and next day it was working the way I like it. Sorry, not a fantastic fix.

Hi guys Just got my Htc 8525 trying to learn about it .... I have a similar problem with the displaying of callre id for incoming calls even though they are in my contacts can anyone help navigate me through the steps

Perhaps the caller has their ID Blocked?
This could be done under, Settings/Personal tab/Phone/Services tab/Caller ID

I actually found out the problem ... when saving numbers to the contact list you need to include the area code eg: 1246 8285497 instead of just 8285497 for the name and number of the contact to show.
