as for getting the HTC ATT rom
you will need to join club HTC then be sure to select the usa for country, it is still on the site.

i recently bought a htc tytn from rogers in canada, and the video call feature won't work, i was told by someone that i would need to downoad wm6 to get it working. if this is so, how do i download it ias th elink on the htc site is broken. Also, would i be able to use skype?
I unlocked my Cingular 8525 which had Voice Command 1.5 pre-installed and flashed my ROM to vp3G 3.62 along with WM6. Everything works fine except that I no longer have Voice Command.
Naturally, I went back to the CD to re-install Voice Command but the software is not there. The CD simply redirects you to online sites so you can purchase latest upgrade.
Outside of re-flashing my ROM back to Cingular 8525, are there any work-around, suggestions?

Problem resolved. Thanks to the guys at XDA-Developers and Nateshuntsvegas, I have a new version of Voice Command up and running.
All-in-all, a new ROM and associated tweaks will take at least ten - sixteen hours to complete and shake-down. But well worth the effort. I have essentially a new and improved phone - faster, more useable memory, more features, better interface.

P.S. post-edit, 1 mo later. Everything I said above still holds true, it's well worth the effort. Also, the improved radio (v1.47) with improved battery consumption is a good-enough reason for the upgrade. But I'm not impressed with Voice Command 1.6. Not very robust. I preferred the voice tags in v1.5.
One other comment, I've noticed several alerts from my firewall/AV over the past month - portal of doom, and a couple other trojans, virus'... maybe coincidence, but use precautions.

The site is 11/.08 old last updated 6/07. IS the best WM6 download still 9 month later?
