I´m from Latinoamerica, I have a HTC 8525 unbloked, and the GPRS services works fine with my chip. I have a account in Gmail with POP3 enabled and i associated it with a Pocket Outlook, in GPRS mode i don't have a problem, the option Send/Receive is ok.
I have a Access Point with a encription WPA-PSK and TKIP key, in the HTC 8525 i configured the Wifi settings nad i can navigate in Internet without any problem, but when I tap in the Send/Receive of the Pocket Outlook with my gmail account appears the next message: "Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you are connected and that your email account settings are correct. Then try to download messages again". The services of Cingular aren't active in Latinoamerica.
Thanks for your help.

I've been a fairly long time user of the 8125 and then the 8525 and I love the phone. My 8525 got the dreaded white screen so I have a refurbished one that ATT sent me.
I've set it up identically to my last two pocket pc's but when I try to send using smtp.gmail.com i get the following error:
The message could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again.
I've checked, double checked, triple checked and loaded the ROM that my last working 8525 had so there really should be nothing different... However, it's not working.
Anyone else have any similar experiences, ideas?
Thanks!
