Can't disable screen taps

I am unable to disable the screen taps on my 8125. I have gone through the Settings/Sounds&Notifications menu, and the dot next to the screen taps option is blank, which should indicate that the thing won't click or beep when I tap the screen. This is not true. It makes a sound every time!

ok... this is a "do-it-at-your-own-risk" kinda deal.

I think you have to remove "MenuPop" and "OpenProg" from the registry. Remove the data, but leave the space there. Do a soft reset (reboot the device) after you let it sit after the changes, of course.

before doing any of this. I highly recommended back everything up. So you won't regret if it failed horribly.

Okay, Shogun, here's the deal. I am married to a degreed (BA and MA) computer geek, so I have a vague idea what the "registry" is. And on a computer, I could probably find it with a little prompting.

On the PPC? Bwahahaha!... I'm better now.

Can you tell me? How do I get to the registry on a Cingular 8125 with MW 5?

OK ... unfortunately, I don't have a great arsenal of good explanation

you'll have to download a registry editors. there are tons of options out there, some are free (and not, of course)

some Reg Edit programs are:
PHMregedit
Total Commander

Hope that gives you some light I can't give you a walk through because I don't have a WM5 I dont' remember steps on top of my head either
