Hello. I discontinued medianet quite some time ago. I had the 8125 setup so that it would identify any networks within range. Some kind of bell sound even went off as I was driving down the street, anytime it picked up a new network. eventually I messed with the settings and lost that feature. Now I am not sure how to have the 8125 search for available networks.
I still have the wifi feature on. And sometimes the phone tries to connect via gprs. IF I am correct, then gprs = I pay money for the connection - therefore, I changed the settings so that it does not try to connect to gprs (i changed it to 'my work network' only and i do not have my work network setup). Anyway, that appears to have stopped the phone from connecting via gprs. If only i could remember how to set it up like I had it a long time ago, where the phone searches for networks to access. Does anyone know how to set that up? Little bell goes off and everything.
ps i am newb. If you can keep the explanation simple it will be much appreciated. Thx!

its simple if your wifi card is working. Just go to the com manager(where you turn the wifi on and off) on the bottom of the screen in the com manager there is settings in the bottom right, tap that and select wifi settings, then you'll see a menu button on the bottom left of the screen tap that and select network cards, and on the bottom of the network card screen you should see "networks to access:" with a drop down box undernieth that, drop it down and select all available tap ok in the upper right corner and thats it.
You can also get to network cards by going to start--settings---connection tab(tabs are located near the bottom of the screen unlike computers where they are on top)---in the connections tab, tap the "network cards" icon and follow the instructions with the drop down box that I put in the first paragraph.
