Htc Touch Can You Have Sms Mp3 Tones? Please Help!!

hi all!

I have a HTC Touch ( p3450), i can set mp3 tones as ringtones but is there any way of using mp3 tones as text message alerts/alarms etc? i've searched and searched but cannot find any information and i would have thought with it being a fairly advanced phone it would enable you to have songs as texts message alerts as much more basic/cheaper phones tend to always be able to have songs as sms/alarms etc. this is the first phone ive ever had that doesnt seem to let u do this??

any one know how i can set a song as a text tone?

( im not great with technical stuff so go slow with me ! lol)

if you go to Sounds and Notifications under settings, then go to the Notification tab, you shoudl be able to choose for "Messaging: New Text Message" and what voice file to choose from.

ok what u have to do is just copy any song u like ,and paste it to your windows folder that should work
