Verizon service, hard resets | | I played around with this xv6900 for a week installing lots of junk knowing I would probably reset it later and reinstall just my favorite apps.
The Verizon store I purchased the phone from and their customer service ensured me that the only thing I really need to do before resetting is backup my contacts and files. The told me that the network/email connection information was stored on my SIM so after the reset, everything would just work again. Apparently only global phones have a SIM, this one does not.
So I reset and the phone works but no data, says incorrect user name and password.
Each time I go into the setup / connections / connections / Manage / edit ... it have to reenter the user name and password, is this normal? Verizon support wouldn't answer this question, I guess they don't know.
The user name is partially based on the phone number, I went through this over a dozen times in the 2 hours I worked with them, it says invalid user name / password.
Now I have a trouble call entered, they are supposed to call me back within 5 days.
How are they able to quote such quick service calls? It took ATT almost a month to setup my U-Verse.
Any suggestions how to get this done quicker? |
