Can a smartphone access files via network?

T-Mobile Dash WM6:
File Explorer doesn't have "open path", so I can't put an UNC path there. Resco Explorer doesn't have any option that I can find either.
Entering an UNC path in Pocket Internet Explorer gives the error: "This URL is not properly formatted..."
I can browse the web page for my router and printer via Pocket IE.
Any suggestions?
