Not to be outdone by Nokia Siemens, Ericsson decided to up the fight a little bit.
What Ericsson is attempting is supposed to be the "world-first end-to-end HSPA Evolution technology". They will be doing that at the CTIA next week.
The company said that it should allow for speed up to an impressive 42 Mbps. It's only (so far) possible because of the combination of higher order modulation technology (64QAM) and 2x2 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology.
The demonstration will be performed on an "unspecified 'handheld form-factor device' ".
I want it... no matter what that is... I want it!
