I have not been able to get the mobile Java based solution to work on my AT&T 8525. That is not to say that others won't be more successful. I wasn't overly excited about that solution anyway to be honest. The problem I have when using the 'recent:username@gmail' option is that when I delete a message from my PDA it is moved to the trash instead of the archives, and when I empty the deleted items on my PDA, it deletes those message permanenly in Gmail.I am using the following solution:I created a second Gmail account called usernameforward@gmail.com. I turned on POP access for both accounts, and have the messages forwarded from my primary account to the usernameforward account, and use it as the pop server. I use my primary account as the smtp server. You could do the same settup using Yahoo or Hotmail, but only if you pay for pop access.
