Hello, This is my first post, hello everyone!  I need some help, please. I just can’t make my Cingular 8125 to play new sounds for Text Message notifications. I have read most (if not all) of the recommendations in this forum about the subject and taken action accordingly. I have put the new sound files (MP3, WAV, WMA) in the proper folders using 2 methods: Copy/paste and Tap/hold “set as ringtone” Just to make sure I put the new sounds in both the Application Data\Sounds folder and in the Windows\Rings as well. Please see attached image of where the sound files are. File size should not be an issue, the Ferrari is a 6 sec clip, 27 KB. Yes, I CAN see the new tones in the phone ring dropdown menu and they DO work well there. However, I CAN’T see them in the dropdown menu for Settings à Sounds & Notifications à Messaging: New text message. All I see is those lousy brief default beeps. This is driving me crazy, I need the phone to play something LOUD and LONG with incoming messages, otherwise I loose contact with the outside world. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Juan. |
