Google is said to be developing their own phone that doesn’t require the user to pay monthly service charges. Users will pay for the phone by looking at advertisements when the phones web browser is used. While it’s believed that Google has two prototypes out and about, they are also open to the idea of outsourcing the design part of the phone to other companies under the terms that it offers 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a camera. T-Mobile USA is supposedly the closest to signing up to offer the device. If Google gets the 700MHz frequency, they might not even need a carrier. In any event the earliest we can expect to see a gPhone would be next year.
