If you could hear sound through the headphone socket but not the speaker it would indicate a physical connection issue. Since you can't hear through either it would suggest either a damaged audio chip or something has corrupted the audio driver on the devic. Hate to suggest the obvious, but have you tried a hard reset? __________________
