Ah ha!!!!!
I think I have a "REAL SOLUTION" to the Pocket Outlook problem with Gmail! (See my original post in this thread)

For those of you with the same problem, here is the fix:
Go in to the messaging app on your PPC. Go to Menu> Tools> Options> Accounts> and then Edit your Gmail account. Go the page where you are prompted for "Your Name", "User Name", and "Password".(Page 2/4) In the "User Name" textbox type "recent:" in front of your username. (ex. "recent:username@gmail.com") This will instruct the server give you only the recent changes, rather than a clean slate every time you connect. I also went to "Options" (page 4/4) and set my "message header" option to "download entire message".
Note: The FIRST TIME you send/receive after making this change, Gmail will try to give you nearly every message in your inbox, so be ready to delete some unwanted messages from your PPC inbox as they arrive. After that though, Gmail and Pocket Outlook seem to work fine.

I found this "fix" in Google Groups of all places... go figure. I would post a link or state the source, unfortunately I can't remember it, but I'm sure you Google savy folks can find it.

I hope you Gmail fans find this useful.
