I just found and installed "Phone Profiler" and it works like a charm.
It basically does in one tap what italzen recommended.
I set up 2 profiles.
First one is phone and it enables the phone and disables the wireless. I use this as default and allows me to make calls and if I need to, use GPRS for internet/mail access while on the road.
Second profile is wireless. I set that to disable the phone and enable wireless. This turns off the phone/gprs connection and turns on the wifi to use at home/office. I can't make or receive calls, but I don't want that to happen if I am working on something online anyways.
It also allows you to set up other profiles that will auto launch programs if you need to. |
