I have a Jornada 540 series and its very good considering my 548 cost £20/$40 on ebay (548 has 32MB memory built in rather than 16MB). Its good for listening to music but for movies you'll probably need something else. Also internet explorer is preinstalled but I haven't tried yet because I need to find out how to configure my wireless CF card on it.
For games, it can handle simple games like Solitaire etc very easily and if you can deal with long waiting times games like Quake and doom are just about playable.
Microsoft office is built in but excel doesn't like graphs etc but its functional and useful. PDF viewers should be easy to find for it.
Some very good schedule and notes programs on it aswell.
For voice recording, it does have it but I havent tested it yet (No need atm) but to record an hour or two you'd more than likely need a CF card.
If you get one of these it's extreamly worth it for £20/$40 (I got USB cradle etc with that aswell) |
