Other questions I should have asked:
1) Did the problem start when you installed Opera, or was everything working fine with Opera and IE for a while, then suddenly it all went downhill?
2) Did you try reinstalling Opera to see if that solved the problem?
3) Finally, could it be that the trial version is limiting something, and once registered (or uninstalled) everything will be happy again?
