hey Coastlanders,
did you say you were from NC? I am from the Fayetteville, NC area btw....
I got my 8525 today!! whoohooo!!! I really like it. I still have me 8125 and am making the transition over to the 8525. I also was dissapointed to loose the Voice button that the 8125 had, why they would remove that i have no idea. I re-programed the "button 3" to activate the voice application, since the buton 3 is used for comm manager, that is less commonly used by myself, and was easier than trying to re-program the PTT button.
I did find this post on cingular's forum site if anyone is interested: (talks about 8525 - Voice Command 1.6)
8525 - Voice Command 1.6 - Cingular/HTC - Cingular Customer Forums
Does anyone have any idea an easier way to "migrate" data from my 8125 to my 8525?? I am having a really difficult time getting my 8525 to sync up with my MacBook. I do have a Toshiba-Satellite laptop but all of my contacts and calendars are on my MacBook.
I was using an app called "the missing sync" and it worked great with 8125 but not so great with the 8525.....
I am going to uplaod some photos of the two phones side by side soon just so everyone can see the slight physical differences. Since I have only had my 8125 for about a week or so, the switch to the 8525 should be easy.
I have rambled on enough for now.......
Edit: I just went to "Settings/USB to PC" and enabled advanced network functionality. This seems to make the sync function work now on my Windows PC.... now to try it again on my MacBook... I will post again on my progress.
