Hi there,
Since Microsoft brought out email sync with Exchange 2003 I have been trialing various devices with the aim of removing our Blackberry Exchange Server (BES). I have purchased several form factor WM5 devices and a couple of the new Blackberrys. Now I link my PPC but I am not a true road warrior. The guys who have been testing them in the real world for me have come back with some interesting comments.
Firstly, if it doesn't have a "real" keyboard it is dead in the water.
The QTEK 9100's slide out keyboard was said to be good but definitely a two handed device. Phone quality was excellent though.
We have had a couple of Hw6945's. They like these but say the phone quality is less than the Qtek's
Then we have blackberry. Sorry to say but the old thumb scroll is a killer design. The newer faster better screens have received the best reception. Also with the new 3G model which has been connected as a gloryfied "ADSL" speed modem on the road they love it, and trust me I am not biased toward BB's as I am the one who wants to get rid of the server so I have less to manage. This is all IMHO of course!
