Welcome to Pocket PC Addict sawhit6! There shouldn't be anything else you need to do to disable GPRS but you can go into the Comm Manager and disable data transfer there.
There is a WiFi icon at the top that tells you that you are connected, just tap on the little tower looking icon with arrows going back and forth.
