I'm fairly new to the Pocket PC arena and have a couple of questions. I was able to get an Audiovox (UTStarcom) PPC-6700 device from someone that was switching away from Sprint to Cingular.
I had been using it for a few weeks and the OS just started to freeze. In the middle of a call, or just some other random time. It would seem to work fine for a bit, then I'd grab it to make a call or something and notice it was locked off in the power. Couldn't get it to power-up except to do a soft-boot on it.
I took it to a Sprint store and they said they couldn't help me out since I purchased it from a 3rd party and even then "the manufacturer doesn't want us to try and troubleshoot" them. I was then directed to
www.utstar.com to check and see about a possible upgrade/patch. There was one, I installed it per the directions and now it's completely dead.
Does anyone have any ideas? I've already become greatly attached to the functionality of having my phone and PDA combined. I hate to go back to separate devices again. Has anyone experienced this before? What's the solution?
