Power Drain

Slack,

The WiFi card seems to accelerate battery depletion even when off. Weird imo
Best solution is if your not a regular user then simply remove the Card when your not using it, or if this is a real pain because of the card location just ensure WiFi is disabled. Generally CF cards take a small charge even when PPC off (actually its not off but in sleep mode), some cards are worse than others but doubt you'd want to buy a new one on the off chance it's that.
Another issue could be other applications are running in the background and turning your PPC on (then the wifi draining the power extra fast), classic examples of this are; calendar/task reminders, backups (including activesync & sprite), today screen applications, etc.
On a side note I was caught out with a classic power drain, there's an option in TomTom (navigation software) that stops the unit automatically shutting down - V sensible if your driving. I'd finish getting to where I'd go to shut down the IPAQ but then the unit would wake up to show a reminder then not turn off cause of the TomTom app running in background. Best solution: make sure you've go long standby just-in-case.
