I haven't had a chance to try it. I've only installed the software for it and plugged it in once.
It does stick out of the top about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. If you've seen a pic. of it, the orange labeled part sticks out of the pocket pc when its inserted.
Installation was a snap with the included software.
I'll let you know more about it after I get a chance to use it at a free wi-fi site on the way home.
Heck, maybe I'll even post from there.
"You may want to keep the little snap case it's packed in so that you have something to keep it in if you get an additional memory card or something. But other than that, it's pretty much pop it in, load the drivers and go!"
By the way, it came without a snap case.
I have a Sena Case though, and the pocket on the flip front holds it just fine.
