Yes. . It's called
innovation. Recognizing a need, or gap in the market, and responding with an amazing product. What's wrong with that? It would be like back in the day with the International Travel-All. "Well. . . it's great, but we didn't like the fact that it's NOT a car, and NOT a truck either. . . "
Ahh yes. . . it's something much BETTER than either of those.
IMO, programs that try to broaden their scope way beyond what can be done well, or is reasonably necessary, often wallow in mediocrity. (See the Pontiac AZTEK)
